File a Claim
Things to consider before you file a claim
If you have experienced a loss to one of your vehicles, home, or business, you likely have many questions regarding your policy and how it would respond if you filed a claim.
While every situation is different, here are things to consider in the event of a loss.
Your deductible: Your deductible may be higher than the damage or the amount that you would receive from the insurance company would be too small to merit opening a claim. Usually, we suggest obtaining an estimate of the repairs before filing a claim so that you can better determine if it is worth opening. This helps avoid unpaid or unnecessary claims on your insurance record.
Liability: Depending on state laws, in the event of an auto accident, the party that is liable must open a claim under their policy. It is recommended if liability is not certain that both parties open a claim under their respective policies.
Contact Us: Not every situation is clear-cut. It is often better to contact us to get a proper consultation before filing a claim.
